Exquisite Faces

with Elisa Terranera

Join us at STUDIOLINO on Saturday the 19th of September for an Exquisite Faces workshop with illustrator Elisa Terranera. Inspired by the surrealist game Exquisite Corpse, we will be using tetra pak and perspex to produce drypoint portraits. Through guided exercises, you will learn how to observe, deconstruct and rebuild the human face, experimenting with mark-making and proportion. Above all this is a chance to play about with portraiture.

This workshop can be done collaboratively or solo depending on how you feel.

Elisa is an Italian illustrator, animator and muralist based in London. She studied Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, received an MA in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Arts and graduated from the Drawing Year at the Royal Drawing School. Her characters tend to be tender, cheeky and sometimes a bit grotesque and unsettling. She likes to stay playful and flexible as much as possible, that’s why her work ranges across a variety of mediums, paces and moods.

Open to all levels.

Accessibility

Regrettably, there is no step-free access to the studio, which is in a basement room that includes a set of steep stairs.
